Welcome to my class this year!!! To start the new year, let me tell you a little bit about me.
Family:
My husband and I have been married for 16 years and we have 3 wonderful kids. My oldest son, Matthew will be 16 in January and will be a Sophomore this year in Wylie. My daughter, Autumn, will be 12 in February and will be in the 6th grade this year. My youngest son, Jacob, passed away almost 12 years ago, February, from a rare disease the doctors could not diagnose. As you can imagine, losing a child is a pain you can't even imagine. Our faith and family got us through it, and allow us to move ahead knowing we will one day see him again.
Education:
I graduated and received my teaching degree from UT Dallas. I taught in Wylie for four years teaching 4th grade, 3rd grade and 1st grade before coming to Garland ISD. This will be my second year in Garland ISD and my sixth year teaching.
I am so excited for a new school year (although like many of you I'm not quite ready for the summer to end.) I am looking forward to working with your children this year and learning all about them.
